Perry was superb for my daughter. She was studying Edexcel GCSE and got a level 7, even though her teacher predicted her a 5. He is calm and very good at explaining what needs to be done. I could not recommend him enough.

Emma tutored my son in preparation for his maths GCSE. She was reliable and had a great knowledge of the curriculum. She helped him develop strategies for his reasoning skills and worked through his weekly lessons to secure his understanding. We count our blessings every day for AA. He has been truly wonderful. our son's favourite subject is Maths and he is a capable mathematician, but found it difficult to concentrate in a classroom setting. Mel's tutor sessions made a huge difference to my son's revision for Economics before his A-level exams. Coming out of his exams, we felt hopeful about his results, but regardless of the outcome, his tutor sessions with Mel made him feel that he had given his very best in every exam, and that was such a great feeling for him. In the event, his results were brilliant !....he got a 'B' in Economics, and his mark was not too far away from an 'A'. Absolutely amazing and a far cry from his mock results. The last-minute revision with Mel had a profound effect on him and resulting in him having a complete turnaround, at clearing, he applied for the International Business Studies 4 Year Degree with one year's work placement at Loughborough University. He was referred to the Business Studies Department to discuss why he had made such a drastic change in courses and explained how he had realised when he was revising with Mel that he enjoyed business and economics. He found them interesting, and they inspired him to pursue those topics. He also said that he had always wanted to work abroad, and they accepted him. It is especially brilliant as the results requirement for this degree are AAB! Following such a positive outcome, our son is very excited and positive about his university course and work future, for which we have to give Mel a big chunk of the credit. Her patience and understanding of getting the best out of him has made a difference. He has now taken his place at Loughborough University, which was his No. 1 Uni Choice !! He can't believe it.

Dominic was a fantastic tutor. He taught my 13-year-old son GCSE Biology with incredible patience and enthusiasm, making what could have been a daunting subject feel approachable and even enjoyable. Simon has changed science for my daughter who was really struggling in year 8. She's moved up a set at school in year 9 and is now preparing to take single science GCSEs rather than combined. Her feedback was she had understood more about a topic after one lesson with Simon than after one term of doing it at school! He's helped restore her confidence and her inquiring nature and she really enjoys her lessons with him.
I have used TTYH twice now and both times the tutors have been superb. Its quite daunting trying to organise a tutor and this is a great place to start, it makes it easy to find suitable people locally and also ones that can offer on-line sessions. We have done both types and I wouldn't be afraid of on-line sessions as they have been very successful too. We have done maths and Spanish. The user interface is also very well done and easy to navigate and understand, it makes invoicing/paying very easy and stress free. I would recommend TTYH and have done frequently.

Lee has an outstanding ability to get the best out of people. The understanding and passion involved with this type of work are so important, and Lee has this in abundance. Phil is a calm and very patient tutor who has worked wonders with my sons. Thanks to his expertise and brilliant approach, my eldest son has just done very well in the 11+ thanks to a year of Phil's tutoring. My younger son, who has ADHD and used to struggle to focus, is now calm and attentive during Phil's sessions.
Libby began giving our son extra tutoring in Y11 and for approximately one academic year. Though this was an hour of extra tuition once a week, mainly during term time, our son found it very useful as this helped him improve from the region of grade 4s/5s in Y10 to 7-9s in Y11. It was very helpful in improving specific aspects of the subject which required more help. It also improved his confidence in the subject. The lessons were online, but our son found them to be similar in quality to in-person lessons. There was a range of activities, resources, and homework. Libby came across as very organised, evident in term dates and times provided ahead of time and lesson plans for the lessons. She was also professional. I also received feeback, some by request and others from Libby's initiative. All in all, I would recommend Libby as a good French tutor if you're looking for tutoring for your child.

We contacted Gabriella 9 months ago for Latin tuition for my 15-year-old daughter. Gabriella responded within 24 hours, and we were able to make arrangements to start lessons very quickly. As my daughter was learning Latin at home (and not being taught at school), Gabriella adapted her approach to broaden and enrich my daughter's learning, filling in the gaps and completing the GCSE curriculum. I found Gabriella a real pleasure to communicate with. Her care and consideration for my daughter's GCSE school workload was excellent and realistic and has resulted in us looking at ways she can take Latin GCSE independently of school after her GCSEs are completed. We feel very lucky to have found her.
Tom is a brilliant tutor. He was kind, patient and supportive to my son, providing interesting and challenging lessons that motivated him to work hard for his GCSE. My son is on the autistic spectrum and not able to attend school, and Tom provided consistently engaging classes that enabled him to achieve a Grade 8 in his GCSE exam. I am so grateful to Tom for helping my son find a love of learning when school had let him down and enabled him to go on to study for A-Levels!

Dr Vivian is a fantastic, friendly teacher who I would highly recommend to anyone seeking to improve their child's performance in science. Viv has been teaching my son Chemistry, Physics and Biology for the past two years. The lessons are always highly engaging and enjoyable. They even perform practical experiments together, which has really added to his understanding. My son went from a grade 7 to achieving a grade 9 in every assessment since seeing Viv. This year, he even won an award for the highest-performing year 8 in science!

Lynda has been my Latin tutor for about two years.
