Reviews for tutors in Cheltenham

I cannot express how grateful we are for all the extra help you have given our daughter (and us in terms of ideas). She has enjoyed your sessions greatly and I know they have paid off. Mrs K Crockett
Cheltenham

We first approached Anna when we were looking for advice on how to support our 10-year-old son, who has ADHD and Anxiety Disorder. From the outset, we felt comfortable with Anna. Not only did she listen to us, but she understood and empathised with what we were hoping to achieve, and she respected and acknowledged our concerns. Her manner and suggested approach were ideally aligned with our situation and struck a perfect balance in terms of pace and engagement with our son. However, none of this would have mattered if our son would not accept her. From her first interaction with him, we realised we had nothing to worry about. He instinctively trusted her and responded open to her engagement, listening to what she asked of him and reacting positively to her praise and encouragement. Over the last four months, Anna has built up a rapport with our son built on a foundation of mutual respect and trust. She has a way of helping him to do what he needs to do in a way that avoids confrontation and conflict, reinforces positive learning, and builds up his confidence. This does not mean she does not say 'no' or lets him get away with messing around. It is just that she couches that control and discipline in a way that builds trust and engagement rather than one built on hierarchy and punishment. We cannot recommend Anna highly enough. She has a wealth of experience and expertise but is humble and questioning. More than that, it is crystal clear that her primary aim is to help develop our son and help him achieve his full potential. Put simply, if you are considering additional learning support for a SEND child, you should ask for a meeting with Anna. She is simply superb at what she does, and we are so grateful we found her. My child used not to understand mathematics at all, but after a few lessons with Mr Muradzi, he started showing signs of total understanding and confidence in the subject and he passed with flying colours. Mrs A. Swanepoel

This maths teacher has a "can do" attitude towards his students. He raised my daughter from dust to greatness. I recommend anyone whose child needs help and to reach their maximum potential. Mr F Jacobs

My son was very happy with the lessons and happily attended , he also gain more confidence in passing the exam with good grades I highly recommend Mr. Jones Mr Krzysciak

Joanne is an excellent German teacher and true enthusiast for the German language, country and culture. We started German tutoring during my son's German GCSE when he wasn't enjoying his lessons at school. He never looked back and ended up getting an A* at German A level. None of this would have happened with Joanne's inspiration, technical competence and engaging approach. Kat Parker

There is no excellent learning without excellent teaching, and our teachers are expected to teach in a way that inspires and motivates. We have over 20,000 talented teachers providing tuition, chosen for their broad range of experience, professionalism, academic specialisms, passion, and dedication to their students. We only ever offer qualified teachers as tutors, as we believe professional teachers provide the highest quality of tuition.

Location
Home Tuition: Involves a teacher coming to your home in Cheltenham to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. Online Tuition: This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Home Tuition: Offers the highest level of individual attention, as the tutor focuses solely on one student. Online Tuition: Still allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Home Tuition: This tends to be more expensive because it involves one-on-one teaching, and the tutor is required to travel to your home, in Cheltenham. Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Home Tuition: Offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and curriculum, as your tutor will only be working with your child. Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Home Tuition: Offers in-person interaction, which can be beneficial for students who learn better through face-to-face communication. Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between home, online, or small group tuition in Cheltenham depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
