Qualified teachers providing home or online homeschooling

Primary, KS3, GCSE and A-Level Homeschooling

Homeschooling (or Home Education) is when a parent takes on the full responsibility of providing an education for their child rather than sending them to a school. Homeschooling can be very fulfilling for children and their families and often leads to children achieving better-than-expected academic outcomes and qualifications.

Parents choose to homeschool their children for all kinds of reasons. Some choose to homeschool their children because they are dissatisfied with their local schools or cannot get a place for their child at the school of their choice; others are seeking an extra academic challenge for very academically, athletically or artistically gifted children; others have children with learning or physical needs that a busy teacher cannot cater for; others have children who find the school environment too stressful for them to progress and to reach their potential; others choose to homeschool for their philosophical or religious beliefs.

Our teachers can support homeschooling at all levels. They can provide high-quality home or online tuition across all academic subjects for Primary, KS3, GCSE and A-Level Examinations and across all the major Examination Boards, including OCR, AQA, Edexcel, CIE and WJEC.

Your child can be taught one-to-one, or you can create a small group of homeschooled children and share the costs of tuition fees with other parents.

Three steps to find your tutor

1. See who is currently available

Look through the profiles of relevant tutors. They are all qualified and experienced teachers, up-to-date, safe, reliable, and available to provide tuition for your child.

2. Chat with one or more tutors

Invite tutors to contact you. You are not committing to any lessons, just having an initial chat to see if they are a good fit for your needs. If you are unsure what to say or ask, use this guide to your introductory call

3. Start and stop lessons any time

If ready, start tuition with your tutor. Fees are paid after each lesson by a secure online card payment. You are in control; you can check and approve lesson payments and stop tuition at any time.

Home Tuition: Involves a Homeschooling tutor coming to your home to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. Online Tuition: This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Home Tuition: Offers the highest level of individual attention, as the Homeschooling tutor focuses solely on one student. Online Tuition: Still allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the Homeschooling tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Home Tuition: This tends to be more expensive because it involves one-on-one teaching, and the Homeschooling tutor is required to travel to your home. Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your Homeschooling tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Home Tuition: Offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and curriculum, as your Homeschooling tutor will only be working with your child. Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of Homeschooling tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Home Tuition: Offers in-person interaction, which can be beneficial for students who learn better through face-to-face communication. Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between home, online, or small group Homeschooling tuition depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
