Freya enjoys being tutored by Chris. He makes her feel at ease and she doesn't feel embarrassed when she doesn't know something. Mr Fury
Salisbury

I was struggling with maths at GCSE and so asked Chris to help me. He created a fun and personal learning environment, turning maths into an interesting subject in a way that my teachers had struggled to do. This ultimately increased my confidence and in the end, I improved from grade 5 standard to achieve a grade 7 for my GCSE maths. He made maths one of my stronger subjects, and I subsequently opted to study maths at A level. This would not have happened without Chris' help. Despite the content getting harder and more complex at A level Chris' teaching style continued to help me, and allowed me to ask him anything I had struggled with during lessons. I found Chris particularly helpful with exam technique, which is especially important in A levels, going through past papers and improving my performance significantly. This no doubt helped me to achieve an A* in maths and I am now looking forward to studying mechanical engineering at university. I would like to thank Chris for all his efforts over the years and would recommend him strongly as a maths tutor. Mr. J.burns

Karl has been supporting two Year 11 students for us since September. He has created a great rapport with them, working hard to find common ground. The relationship Karl has formed with our students has allowed him to mentor them through some difficult times at school, where ordinarily, we would have expected their behaviour to spiral. Karl takes time to liaise with curriculum teachers to ensure he supports the class learning and gives regular feedback on progress as well as the emotional state and engagement of the students. A highly recommended tutor and mentor. Mrs R Offiler - Asst Senco At St Laurence School

Phil and I would like to say how appreciative we are for everything you have done for Eva over this academic year. She has loved coming to work with you, and she has become so much more confident in her literacy skills, and we hope this continues when we move to Perth. Mrs Patricia Nixon

Thank you for all the help and support you've given Tom (and me!). I don't know what we're going to do without you!! I think I'm still in denial that you're moving back to the UK. Hope it goes well and wishing you all the best. Mrs Jo Basile

Tom is a brilliant tutor, he was kind, patient and supportive to my son, providing interesting and challenging lessons that motivated him to work hard for his GCSE. My son is on the autistic spectrum and not able to attend school and Tom provided consistently engaging classes that enabled him to achieve a Grade 8 in his GCSE exam. I am so grateful to Tom for helping my son find a love of learning when school had let him down and enable him to go on to study for A levels! Ms Charvet
Salisbury

Had a 2 hour lesson with Jason preparing for my Level 2 Functional Skills Maths exam. Very patient and excellent understanding of how to break down wordy/tricky questions into manageable steps for me as an individual to understand, taking into account what knowledge I already had. Good work through process for algebra and conversions and answered all my little questions. I achieved 88% with his help. As a teacher of other subjects I highly recommend his services. Thankyou Jason! 👍 Mr Crouch

Location
Home Tuition: Involves a teacher coming to your home in Salisbury to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. Online Tuition: This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Home Tuition: Offers the highest level of individual attention, as the tutor focuses solely on one student. Online Tuition: Still allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Home Tuition: This tends to be more expensive because it involves one-on-one teaching, and the tutor is required to travel to your home, in Salisbury. Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Home Tuition: Offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and curriculum, as your tutor will only be working with your child. Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Home Tuition: Offers in-person interaction, which can be beneficial for students who learn better through face-to-face communication. Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between home, online, or small group tuition in Salisbury depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
