I am experienced as a Head of Physics & Science at a large secondary school, teaching GCSE, A-Level and IB-HL&SL Physics. As of 2023, I will have been teaching for over 40 years. I have examined and written exams for GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level and the IB. I train teachers to teach physics, and with students across the world, I provide face-to-face support, on-line teaching and revision (at all levels). On a personal note, I would say that probably the most important thing about teaching, is that you are helping our younger generations to grow as responsible people, caring for others and the world we live in. It is important to be a positive role model and to show them that they can be better than they know they can be. This requires care and respect and is something I am deeply passionate about. I believe this is a crucial aspect of what a teacher does and it is part of why I love what I do.

Dear Dr Chilton, I can't thank you enough. Thank you so so so much. I don't deserve such a dedicated mentor not only for your physics skill, but for being a true role model. I cannot thank you enough for this. The only way I can think of repaying you is by working my socks off the next weeks to achieve the highest grade I'm capable of. Really thank you, again. I'm.. Dumbfounded really. Thank you. Yours, Ben Mr Ben Wind

Hi Dr. C! I didnt get the chance to tell you how much I enjoyed physics with you, so I thought I'd just send an Email! You taught with such deep passion and understanding, paired with so much humour and irony that I actually enjoyed Physics for once! We had covered the overwhelming majority of the content but I became so much more comfortable with the topics than I was before. Also, when you first said helping others was one of your top 3 priorities I wasnt too sure what to think of that, but I am now completely convinced and blown away by your willingness to dedicate so much time and energy in helping and teaching others!! I also loved your comment about school grades not being more important than everything else So basically, please keep being you :) All the best, Karlina Miss Karlina Reisgen

Sammie tutored my daughter for her GCSE Combined Science exam in 2023. She is kind and patient. She has a great knowledge of the course and provided meaningful resources and advice. I would recommend Sammie to any parent who's trying to help their child up their grades. My daughter really enjoyed working with her, and she got a great GCSE Science grade in the end. Mrs B Green

Sally began tutoring my daughter, Holly, for GCSE Biology in January 2022, just after Holly began her education outside of school programme. From their first meeting, Sally was kind, calm and professional. She took the time to get to know Holly and adapted well to any feedback given about Hollys special educational needs. Their working relationship blossomed through a mutual love of cats, and Holly then asked to study GCSE Chemistry with Sally, in addition to Biology. This posed a potential challenge as Holly had missed yrs 7-9 in chemistry so was effectively starting from scratch. Sally mapped out the GCSE curriculum content to ensure that we could cover all the content in time for Holly to take exams in May/June 2023. Sally was always well prepared for lessons and has an excellent subject knowledge, including about the exam syllabuses, and which topics are covered at GCSE or A Level. Sally was always punctual to lessons and I found her to be completely reliable. Sally was also flexible with her lesson timings, particularly around exam revision, which was so helpful. Sally always encouraged Holly to believe in herself, and her ability. Sally was the predictable and dependable presence that Holly needed each week to enable her to achieve the best she could in science. Holly achieved a Grade 8 in Biology and a Grade 7 in Chemistry, which is astounding when you consider how much secondary schooling she had missed due to illness, before starting lessons with Sally. Sally worked very well as part of Hollys team of tutors, always attending Teaching Team meetings and giving insightful feedback. She also consistently produced comprehensive termly reports on Hollys progress. One of the things I appreciated most about Sally is the care she had for Holly. She would willingly listen to feedback and make any changes needed to best meet Hollys needs and showed seemingly unending patience! I would highly recommend Sally if you are considering a science tutor, either for home education or to complement schooling. Laura

My name is Sarah, and Chris has tutored me outstandingly during the prominent years of my GCSEs. He keeps up an enthusiastic mood and tries his best to come up with methods to recall effectively. At the beginning, i was stressed that i wouldn't achieve the grades i wanted to but now can confidently say that Chris's work and dedication had enabled me to build that confidence that was missing and resulted to my weaker performance. Furthermore, his confidence enabled me to recently in year 10 achieve an 8 (1 mark from a 9) in my latest physics topic test that had a bunch of hard questions. Chris also helped me in maths and biology, and I am so sad to end my tutoring with him, but I will definitely push my brother to follow my lead! Sarah S (student - Igcse Maths, Physics And Biology)
Physics Tuition in Boston

Chris has been absolutely amazing with my son, who is an autistic 12-year-old. My son had been out of school for some time as he struggled in the environment, and while we were looking for a new school setting, we did some online tutoring at home. My son did three sessions with Chris every week, covering both maths and science. Chris was brilliant with my son, he tailored the lessons to suit him and made them really fun and engaging so my very nervous and anxious son would laugh and even be a bit cheeky. He got so much out of every session, sometimes not even realising he was learning. I can not recommend Chris enough. Abi W (mother, Ks3 Maths And Science)

Tuition with a qualified Physics teacher at your home in Boston costs from £46.00 ph. Online tuition with a qualified Physics teacher costs from £40.00 ph. Create your own small tuition group and Physics tuition costs from £17.50 ph.

Because we only ever work with qualified and experienced Physics teachers in Boston, you will always get a highly experienced teacher who is safe, reliable and up to speed with the current curriculum and exam requirements. There is no excellent learning without excellent teaching, and our Physics teachers are expected to teach in a way that inspires and motivates. We have over 20,000 talented teachers providing tuition, chosen for their broad range of experience, professionalism, academic specialisms, passion, and dedication to their students. We only ever offer qualified teachers as tutors, as we believe professional teachers provide the highest quality of tuition.

Location
Home Tuition: Involves a Physics tutor coming to your home in Boston to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. Online Tuition: This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Home Tuition: Offers the highest level of individual attention, as the Physics tutor focuses solely on one student. Online Tuition: Still allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the Physics tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Home Tuition: This tends to be more expensive because it involves one-on-one teaching, and the Physics tutor is required to travel to your home, in Boston. Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your Physics tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Home Tuition: Offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and curriculum, as your Physics tutor will only be working with your child. Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of Physics tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Home Tuition: Offers in-person interaction, which can be beneficial for students who learn better through face-to-face communication. Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between home, online, or small group Physics tuition in Boston depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
