Spanish Tutor in Lichfield

Whether you need help in reaching your potential for examinations (GCSE/A-Level), want to learn for fun, holidays or business I can help you take that next step. I believe fun, enjoyment and confidence are the key elements of learning. It is imperative to teach in a variety of ways and establish the best learning style for each individual pupil exploring Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic methods of learning. By 'doing' a learner learns and remembers. My initial training as a teacher has helped me to teach any subject effectively. Helping students overcome barriers to learning and making progress are the things I enjoy the most about teaching. I am genuinely passionate about my subjects and in seeing learners reach their potential. I too enjoy the challenge of mastering new things and embracing the notion that you never ever stop learning.

Reviews for Spanish Tutors in Lichfield

We found Laura to be an amazing tutor for our daughter who has complex learning needs. We had just started navigating home education and all the trauma that goes with breaking away from conventional schooling. We were also in a very upsetting time for our daughter who was struggling to adjust to a new way of schooling. So when Laura joined and fit in immediately we were all so relieved. We found Laura to be exceptionally patient and kind, very generous with her time (organising trips to the library or educational visits somewhere) which meant a tremendous amount to us. But for our daughter, she did become a firm favourite, and Laura was able to adapt her style of teaching to suit the way our daughter learned. This is so important to engage with a child with SEN, understanding how they learn and understanding when to push and when not to. Laura really went above and beyond to connect with our daughter, and set her up so well for learning in a new environment. We couldnt recommend Laura highly enough, and any child who has her support and tutoring is an exceptionally lucky one. Lucy Wright

Libby began giving our son extra tutoring in Y11 and for approximately one academic year. Though this was an hour of extra tuition once a week, mainly during term-time, our son found it very useful as this helped him improve from the region of grade 4s/5s in Y10 to 7-9s in Y11. It was very helpful in improving specific aspects of the subject which required more help. It also improved his confidence in the subject. The lessons were online but our son found them similar in quality to in-person lessons. There were a range of different activities, resources and homework. Libby came across, as very organised, evident in term dates and times provided ahead of time and lesson plans for the lessons. She was also professional. I also received feedback, some by request and others from Libby's initiative. I would recommend Libby as a good French tutor if you're looking for tutoring for your child. Mrs D

Libby tutored my daughter before her GCSEs, and I can't recommend her highly enough! She is very professional to deal with, knowledgeable about the subject and a great teacher, as well as patient and supportive to the student. She calmly encouraged S and gave her a boost of confidence and skills, which helped her to gain excellent GCSE results. We are so grateful for her and would definitely recommend her to others. Mrs W

Spanish Tutor in Lichfield

A seasoned teacher with 17 years of experience, 15 years teaching in the independent sector. I am Head of Languages at my current school, where I have successfully implemented Spanish throughout the whole school from Nursery to Year 6. I also work in another independent school, preparing pupils for their Common Entrance in French and Spanish. My Spanish results this year were the highest in the school! Many of my pupils have successfully gained places at schools such as Uppingham, Harrow, Oundle and Shrewsbury - to name but a few. My passions lie within language teaching methodology. I use an approach created by Dr Gianfranco Conti in which children learn language more instinctively. I was recently asked to be a guest proofreader on Dr Conti's latest book. I firmly believe everyone can learn a language and learn it well!

After several years, I began to tutor all ages on a self-employed basis, to private students and adult education classes. I also produce all my own teaching resources. Hola. Bonjour! I teach French and Spanish full time in a North West Secondary School. I graduated with a First in Modern Languages from Newcastle University in 2016. I have lived in France and Spain, and I feel very passionate about promoting language uptake and cultural awareness in education in the U.K. I teach both KS3 and KS4 curricula. I endeavour to share my love of languages with my pupils by creating tailored and engaging lessons to promote a cultural and linguistic appetite. I achieve this through regular Assessments for Learning opportunities (low-stakes quizzes, competitive games) and summative assessments. I look forward to having the opportunity to share my passion for languages with you, and I can work both online and in person. Hasta pronto! A toute!

Because we only ever work with qualified and experienced Spanish teachers in Lichfield, you will always get a highly experienced teacher who is safe, reliable and up to speed with the current curriculum and exam requirements. There is no excellent learning without excellent teaching, and our Spanish teachers are expected to teach in a way that inspires and motivates. We have over 20,000 talented teachers providing tuition, chosen for their broad range of experience, professionalism, academic specialisms, passion, and dedication to their students. We only ever offer qualified teachers as tutors, as we believe professional teachers provide the highest quality of tuition.

Location
Home Tuition: Involves a Spanish tutor coming to your home in Lichfield to provide one-on-one instruction. This offers convenience as you don't need to travel. Online Tuition: This can take place anywhere with an internet connection. Small Group Tuition: Typically with between 2 to 4 children, and often occurs in a physical location such as your home, though it can also be online.

Individual Attention
Home Tuition: Offers the highest level of individual attention, as the Spanish tutor focuses solely on one student. Online Tuition: Still allows for one-to-one attention, but it may be slightly less personal than home tuition due to potential distractions. Small Group Tuition: Offers less individual attention as the Spanish tutor must divide their time and attention among multiple students.

Cost
Home Tuition: This tends to be more expensive because it involves one-on-one teaching, and the Spanish tutor is required to travel to your home, in Lichfield. Online Tuition: Often more affordable than home tuition as your Spanish tutor does not need to travel but may still cost more than small group tuition. Small Group Tuition: Generally, this is the most cost-effective option, as the costs are shared among several families.

Flexibility
Home Tuition: Offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and curriculum, as your Spanish tutor will only be working with your child. Online Tuition: Provides flexibility in terms of location and may offer a wider selection of Spanish tutors. Small Group Tuition: Lessons will be more difficult to schedule as lesson times will have to fit in with other families.

Interaction
Home Tuition: Offers in-person interaction, which can be beneficial for students who learn better through face-to-face communication. Online Tuition: Provides interaction through video conferencing tools and chat, which can be engaging but may not suit everyone's learning style. Small Group Tuition: Allows for peer interaction, which can benefit collaborative learning and discussions.

The choice between home, online, or small group Spanish tuition in Lichfield depends on your preferences, budget, and the student's specific educational needs. Each option has advantages and disadvantages, so it's essential to consider these factors when deciding.
