If someone fails GCSE Maths, they will likely have to re-take the exam. This may be done through a resit, or by taking a different course or exam that covers the same material. If the individual does not pass the re-take, they may have difficulty progressing in certain academic or career paths that require a certain level of mathematical proficiency. Additionally, it can also have a negative impact on their self-esteem and motivation.
